WHY AM I LOOKING AT THIS PAGE!!!

 

  At a guess. Its probably because your insurance company have insisted for you have to an S5 Tracker installed.

 

  Previously  an S7 Tracker would have been OK. But as crime rises with high end vehicles, insurers are now insisting that a non passive system is fitted. This will mean that to drive the vehicle (without creating a beureu  alert), something, has to be done  identifying that it’s you in the car.

 

  So your doing all the work and paying the cost  to help insurers not have to pay out on a theft!

 

  On that basis, my recommendation (if the above) applies, is to go for the most cost effective S5 in the system. This is the one that uses the Smartphone app and not the iDent Driver recognition cards.

 

Here’s why!!

 

1: You are less likely to leave your Smartphone in the car.

     (but the cards you may)

 

2: You are less likely to misplace or loose your phone.

 

3: If the app is running and with you in the car it will

    automatically tell the tracker all good to go.

 

4: You can Finger lock your phone & protect access to the

    Smartphones Application phone stolen with vehicle.

 

5: And finally.. It’s cheaper!.

 

Don’t panic!! if your phones battery should go flat or you haven't got your phone the vehicle will run / drive as normal it’s just you'll  get a call from the beureu to question the vehicles safety, and yes this will be on one of your other designated numbers. Another or a partners phone, more, can be linked to your account.

 

There is also a nice service feature when the vehicle off to the garage.

 

It’s worth noting that even if your insurer accepts an S7 tracker it may not do so in the future. Also you may want to change your insurer and that policy may then require an S5.

 

The Autowatch Thatcham Approved S5 system has the latest in GPS/GPRS vehicle tracking technology. The control module in the vehicle can be remotely re-programmed from the control centre via the GPRS network. This allows the system to be upgraded without having to access the control module on the Car.
