In many case when an Alarm goes off it that the system is working ok but the unit is being triggered by a faulty

input lets go through them and hopefully this will help!

 

If a call out is required and the system is intact & the problem lies with the vehicle a call out card may be made,

 

Please note that information is related to the Autowatch units & the cure may not apply with other systems.

 

Problem                                                              Cause / Symptom.

 

Alarm goes off 1 minute after Arming                   Is door / boot / bonnet closed properly. If yes, Check all pin

                                                                                   switches, Make sure they depress correctly. Note many vehicles now have

                                                                                   micro switches inbuilt with the latches.

 

Alarm goes off intermittently                                  Isolate the Ultra Sonics' (Double press on the Arm Button when

                                                                                    arming. Now only the doors can trigger the Alarm.

 

Alarm goes off and will not disarm                         Check if the Indicators are flashing if not the Car Battery has

                                                                                    probably dropped below 7 volts and the system has gone into anti-attack

                                                                                    & tamper. You need to get 12v of power to the Car Battery then disarm.

 

Ultrasonic & Optional Shock Exclusion                   Some customers get into the habit of double arming there vehicles.

                                                                                           When this is not required the System will beep to tell you that exclusion

                                                                                           Has been activated. This is a great feature when leaving windows open

                                                                                           Dogs inside, but not required always as this will decrease the security.

 

Ultrasonic & Optional Shock Exclusion                   Again as above but will do by default and warn of same.

(permanently)                                                                              To enter with ignition on turn on/off 3 times in 6 seconds to Set

                                                                                           Repeat to Un/Set

 

 

DO NOT CUT THE LEAD TO THE SIREN               In all cases this will invalidate any Warranty

 

 

Alarm will not turn on / off with Remote               Check Battery Led on Fob is it Flashing when pressed if Yes change

                                                                                    Batteries in Remote. If not you may be in an area of High Radio Signal

                                                                                    Activity. Use 5 digit Code to turn off Alarm.

 

Car won’t start (457Rli & 171Ppi)                          Check LED has extinguished if so both Immobilisation points have latched

                                                                                    ok and the symptom is probably more vehicle related.

 

LED not Flashing / Arming.                                    Check vehicle fuses are all intact. A quick get out is to turn on ignition and

                                                                                    push disarm to release immobiliser. This wont work if the fuse gone affects

                                                                                    a running circuit.

 

DO NOT ADD LIGHTS TO LED                                  In all cases this will invalidate any Warranty

 

The Alarm is designed to use as little power as possible and this will burn out the board
